Meeting Our New Grandbaby

Dale and the kids arrived around 3:00 and they said hello to Grandma Jan and then we all jumped in the car and first we would stop and see Papa Tom.  I didn't know if we would get a quiet moment with him so we stopped.  I think it was hard for some of my kids but some really needed that time.
Then we were off to go see the new grand baby!
The kids had been in the car for two days but everyone was willing to spend two more hours to get meet our new baby!
We had waited and waited to see this little guy and the day was finally here.

Dale somehow got out of the car first and made it into their apartment before the rest of us and had the first snuggles.
I got to go second!
He was so small!
My babies were not small.  This baby was just a little minute!
My kids didn't understand what that meant.

For me after days of tears this just felt like a tender mercy.
We stayed in their two bedroom apartment for two nights and it was wonderful!

Thomas was just the medicine we all needed.

Madi mastered the wrap!

Mickayla had just had Thomas and was still learning the art of modest nursing.
